Miller Outdoor Theatre
Located in Houston's Hermann Park, Miller Outdoor Theatre is a free, open-air theatre that has housed a variety of musical acts and performing arts since its creation in 1968.
Texas Crawfish Festival
Held just outside of Houston in Spring, the Texas Crawfish Festival offers Texas and Cajun music, family entertainment, arts, crafts, and, of course, plenty of boiled crawfish.

The Houston Hot Sauce Festival is the Bayou City's showcase event for any type of sauce with a little "kick" in it, including hot sauce, salsa, barbecue sauce, Bloody Mary mix and more.
Houston Italian Festival

The Original Greek Festival
One of Houston's largest food festivals, the Original Greek Festival has been held on an annual basis since 1966 and serves up a variety of Greek cuisine, including souvlaki, gyros, tiropita, spanakopita, dolmades and more.
Parrot Festival
Sponsored by the National Parrot Rescue and Preservation Foundation, the Parrot Festival is held in Houston annually during the last weekend of January. Experts from around the world speak on topics such as parrot behavior, care, nutrition and preservation.
Opera in the Heights

Ballunar Liftoff Festival
Clear Lake's Ballunar Liftoff Festival is the "Largest Hot Air Balloon Event in Texas" and features over 80 hot air balloon's, the world's largest hot air ballon, skydiving competitions, aerial demonstrations, games, music, food and more.
Texas Snowfest
Although natural snow is a rarity in most of Texas, each November, cities around the state receive a man-made blizzard. Austin, Dallas and Houston are among the cities have a "snow day" as part of the Texas Snowfest.
HEB Holiday Parade
An annual tradition for over 50 years, the HEB Holiday Parade winds its way through downtown Houston, featuring floats, marching bands, and an appearance by Santa.
Music on the Plaza
Held in Shenandoah, just north of Houston, Music on the Plaza features local groups and artists performing to raise funds for local music scholarships.
Crystal Ballroom
This 11,000 foot ballroom in downtown Houston features five bars and lavish decorations, right next to Sambuca Restaurant. Several unique events and gatherings are held at the Crystal Ballroom.

Alley Theater
The Alley Theatre, founded in 1947 by pioneering educator Nina Vance, is a professional resident theatre company. Recipient of the 1996 Special Tony Award, the Alley performs year-round in its two-theatre complex at home in downtown Houston, and has toured 40 American cities and abroad.

Da Camera
Da Camera of Houston, founded in 1987, was created in response to concerns about the dwindling audience for classical music in America with the intention to produce a series of thematically programmed concerts designed to attract new listeners to the concert hall.
Houston Ballet
Hailed by "The New York Times" as "one of the nation's best ballet companies," Houston Ballet is America's fifth largest ballet company, featuring 53 dancers who have won gold and silver medals at international ballet competitions. Founded in 1969, Houston Ballet is currently under the leadership of the dynamic Australian choreographer Stanton Welch who was named artistic director of the company in 2003.
Houston Grand Opera (HGO)
Called the “world’s leading presenter of new operas,” HGO is also know for its stellar productions of standard repertoire, its casting, HGO Orchestra and Chorus. Throughout its 50-year history, HGO has been on the cutting edge of technology, and the HGO website is no exception.

The Masquerade Theatre
Educator and Founding Artistic Director Phillip Duggins established The Masquerade Theatre in 1996. It began as a mixed-venue professional theatre providing a variety of theatrical productions including comedies, dramas, and musicals. Due to the popularity of musicals and increasing requests from patrons, a decision was made in its second season to become purely a musical theatre. Since that time the theater audiences have grown significantly and demand for seats has resulted in becoming the resident company of The Hobby Center’s Zilkha Hall and, incredibly, in only its 9th year of existence!
Society for Performing Arts (SPA)
Society for the Performing Arts brings a broad selection of performing artists and companies from around the world to complement Houston's own theater, dance, and music offerings. The goal of the organization is to present a wide range of the highest quality national and international caliber of classical performing artists and companies, ranging from traditional to contemporary, large orchestras and dance companies to recitalists and solo performers, new artists and art forms to multi-cultural attractions.
Theater Under the Stars (TUTS)
Theatre Under The Stars (TUTS), founded in 1968 by Frank M. Young, is Houston’s acclaimed musical theatre production company. Since producing, directing and conducting TUTS’ first production, Bells Are Ringing, Mr. Young has guided the non-profit company to national acclaim through 37 seasons of more than 275 musicals. During its 37 seasons, TUTS, which is one of America’s largest non-profit producers of musical theatre, has produced a total of 45 Premieres, including 12 World Premieres, and is currently represented on Broadway with Beauty and the Beast. TUTS is also noted for mounting many International tours, such as the Tony Award-winning Carousel.
Uniquely Houston
Uniquely Houston ® is an innovative program established by the Hobby Center for the Performing Arts to provide a home venue for Houston’s emerging, nonprofit performing arts organizations in the Theater District. This collaboration provides partnering organizations with access to technical, marketing and operational expertise in addition to assistance with the overall production quality of each presentation.
